Gabriela Nunez and Marcela Caballero were a couple from Grand Prairie, Texas, who recently bought their dream vacation home in Tulum, Mexico. Nunez passed away on the day after Thanksgiving, November 26, and Caballero passed away on November 29, 2021.
As per reports, a lawsuit has been filed by a Dallas lawyer named Juan Hernandez against Selva Norte, the owner of the property where the couple’s condo was located. Hernandez stated that Mexico often has substandard security measures, with many constructions below standard. In this case, residents had previously complained about gas leaks from the building where the couple was staying. It is not clear how the investigation will progress.
